Ann E (Fountain) Metzdorf

Monson- Ann Elizabeth (Fountain) Metzdorf, 52, died Sunday, August 21, 2016.  Ann was born in Ware, MA, June 12, 1964 to Francis E. and Gertrude L (Ouellette) Fountain.  She was a graduate of Quaboag Regional High School and has been a resident of Monson for many years.  Ann was a customer service agent for American Airline. She then became a travel agent for Liberty Travel which she absolutely loved. 

Ann spent her youth with her brother Tim in Colorado where they shared many adventures and formed a deep lasting bond.  It was there that she met Pete her husband and partner in life.  Pete was her rock; especially during her recent illness.  During her years as a travel agent, Ann traveled with family and friends to many places.  Ann had a big heart and was generous to all.  She loved her family unconditionally.  Ann was the caregiver for her Mom and Dad in spite of her own health struggles.  She will be dearly missed.

Ann leaves her husband of 28 years Peter J. Metzdorf; their children, Andrew Metzdorf of Springfield and Katelin Metzdorf of Monson; step children, Peter Metzdorf of Wisconsin, Michele Metzdorf of Minnesota; her Mother Gertrude Fountain of Monson; brothers, William Fountain and his wife Gail of Longmeadow, Timothy Fountain and his wife Catherine of Longmeadow; sister Sue Fountain of Chatsworth, CA; grandchildren, Thomas Andrew, Eric and Kuhlela; nieces and nephews, Sean Fountain, Sarah Fountain, Kamil Fountain, Victoria Fountain; great nieces,  Mikayla Clark and Hailey Fountain. Ann was predeceased by her father Francis Fountain in 2010.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 from 5-7pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge Street Monson, MA 01057.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, in care of  Timothy Fountain 46 Whitmun Road Longmeadow, MA 01106.
