Claire A (Murray) Jarvis

Monson-Claire A. (Murray) Jarvis, 86, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 surrounded by the love of family.  Claire was born in Worcester, November 21, 1930 to the late Harold and Florence ((Sabourin) Murray. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and very active in High School Athletics. Claire continued her education and was a graduate of Springfield Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1951.  She was a registered nurse at Baystate Medical Center for many years until her retirement. Claire was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson, a volunteer and member of the Monson Senior Center and a life member of Baystate Medical Alumni.

Claire was predeceased by her husband, Armond W. Jarvis.  She leaves her son David A. Jarvis and his wife Michele of Monson; daughters Carol Preston and her husband Robert of Springfield and Elaine Coles and her husband Scott of E. Longmeadow; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Claire was predeceased by her sister Jean P Laurie.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson.  Visiting hours will be held from 9:30-11am with a service at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
