Edward R Barry

Palmer- Edward R. Barry, 83, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at his home.  Ed was born in East Longmeadow to the late Francis H. and Elizabeth V. (Roach) Barry. Edward grew up in Hampden and served in the Army from 1953-1955.  He then returned to Hampden and worked on the family farm, Barry Mink Farm.  He later became a mason tender and worked for area construction contractors.  Ed had a deep love of family and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Edward was predeceased by his wife Mary R. (Duteau) Barry.  He leaves  his daughter Elizabeth Anderson and her husband William of Monson; a granddaughter Kelly Anderson of Monson and many nieces and nephews.  Edward was also predeceased by his ten siblings; John, William, Thomas, Patrick, Francis, Robert, Margaret, Mary, Catherine and Gloria.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10am in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hampden.
