Eleanor G (Torbick) Kapsia

Monson, MA-Eleanor G. Kapsia, 91 of Monson, MA and a former longtime resident of Glastonbury, Ct, died Sunday, August 28, 2016.  Eleanor was born June 23, 1925 in Shenandoah, Pa to the late Chester and Stella (Rutkowski) Torbick.  Eleanor and her late husband were the former owners of Frank's Market in Hartford, Ct and Frank Kapsia and Son Excavator Inc. in Glastonbury, Ct.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Frank G. Kapsia Sr in in 1974. She was also predeceased by her brothers, John, Chester, Benny, Edward, Walter, and Charles and sisters Stella and Josephine.  She leaves her son, Frank G. Kapsia and his wife Donna of Monson; sister in-laws Eileen Torbick, Rose Torbick, Helen Shadd and Eva Hish. Grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Wing Hospital for the compassion and care that was given to Eleanor.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10am in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, Ct. A celebration of life picnic will be held Saturday, September 10th beginning at 12 noon at the Farm in Monson.
