Monson/San Fransisco CA- Mary Beth (Meribeth) Meacham formerly of Monson passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2016, after a lingering illness.  She was born in Palmer MA on December 8, 1940, the daughter of George W. and Mildred E. (Tenczar) Meacham.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, G. William Meacham.  She attended the Monson Public School System graduating in 1958 where she was an active participant in school activities.  She graduated from The Leland Powers School of Radio and Theater in Boston and the Bennett Secretarial School in Springfield MA.

Mary Beth’s theatrical career began in New York City.  In addition, she worked at The American Shakespeare Festival in Stratford CT, The Seattle Repertory Theater in Seattle WA, Stage South, and a touring theater company in South Carolina.  She finished her career at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, a city she loved, before returning to this area in 2014.  She also directed and assisted at the Monson Summer Theater Program.  Mary Beth worked with Margaret Hamilton, yes, that Wicked Witch, Annette Bening, and Joseph Cotton, and many other fine actors playwrights, directors, and designers.
 
She is survived by her brother, Robert L. Meacham Sr and his wife Mary Ann of Monson.  She will be missed by her sister-in-law Amy D. Meacham of Monson.  She leaves several nieces and nephews who had the opportunity to travel to various locations where she lived and worked, James G Meacham, Robert L Meacham II, Dwight Meacham and his wife Debbie, Donald Meacham and his wife Charlene, Denise Donavan and her husband Dennis all of Monson, Douglas Meacham and his wife Linda of Bluffton SC and Diane Joyce and her husband David of Hampden.  She also leaves several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
