Rena Margaret (Mills) Bowden

Wales-Rena M. (Mills) Bowden, 101, went home to the Lord, Friday, April 22, 2016.  Rena was born in Monson, September 21, 1914 to the late Louis and Margaret (Gould) Mills.  She retired from Wrights in Warren after many years. Rena grew up in Monson and was a longtime resident of Wales.  She was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield, a member of the Catholic Women's Club, a volunteer at the Food Bank in Palmer and a volunteer at Quaboag on the Common.  She enjoyed water color painting and spending time with family and friends.

Rena was predeceased by her husband William T. Bowden in 1974 and her son Michael W. Bowden in 2015.  She leaves her daughter in-law Jane A. Bowden of Wales; step granddaughters, Cynthia G. Dolan of Warren and Lisa Malsbury of Monson; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Rena was also predeceased by her brothers Roy and Blair Mills and sister Ada Medicke and brother in-law Charles.
A  visiting hour will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 9-10:30 in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St Christopher's Church in Brimfield, burial will follow at Wales #4 Cemetery on Laurel Hill Road in Wales.
