Vernie Merritt Obituary

Monson- Vernie Merritt, 81, a former resident of Monson, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, surrounded by the love of family. Vernie was born in Waycross, Georgia January 21, 1937 to the late Sylvester and Rhoda (Rowland) McKinnon. For many years Vernie worked at Monson Developmental Center in the food service department.

She leaves her children, Katherine Merritt of Monson, Bonnie Smith of Greenfield and Jamie Lee Merritt of West Warren; a brother Vergil McKinnon of TN; a sister, Dorothy McKinnon of GA; six grandchildren, Craig Nothe, Crystal Merritt, Natasha Perry, Kyle Perry, Dylan Merritt, Alysha Merritt; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Nothe, Kayleigh Nothe, Kacie Mundell, Caleb Carney, and Austin Easterly.
