Monson- Carmin Louie Verlotta, 94, passed away peacefully, July 16, 2019. He was born in Monson, March 2, 1925 to the late Nicholas and Conchetti Verlotta. Carmin was a longtime resident of Monson and most recently a resident of the Soldiers' Home of Holyoke. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving from 1943-1946. Upon his honorable discharge, Carmin worked at CF Church Co in Monson for 35 years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a member of the American Legion, Post #241 in Monson. He enjoyed playing golf and attending the Monson Senior Center.
Carmin was predeceased by his parents and his siblings. He leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 10am until 12noon in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St Monson. Committal services with Military Honors will follow at 1pm at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Soldiers' Home of Holyoke 110 Cherry St. Holyoke, MA 01040.
