Carol A Gaudette

Hampden – Carol A. Gaudette 83, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Wingate Nursing Home in Hampden, MA.
Carol was born to the late Richard L. Gaudette and Dorothy (Hanifan) Gaudette of Uxbridge, MA. Carol fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease for well over 7 years. Carol was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Milford, MA. She did her nursing affiliations with both Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MA and graduated from the Nursing Program at Milford Hospital in Milford, MA. Carol received her Nursing Degree from St. Joseph’s College near Sebago Lake in Standish, Maine. She was an RN for close to 40 years, working at Cushing Hospital in Framingham, MA, specializing in Geriatric Care and Alzheimer’s Nursing. Upon her retirement, she lived in Marlboro, MA. Carol loved to travel, entertain, enjoyed sports, especially golf and spent many wonderful years in her beloved Cape Cod second home and also at her camp site, both located in West Dennis and Dennis, MA.
 
She leaves her Cousin, Dorothy (Pascale) Jenkins of Monson, who was her Health Care Manager. Cousins James Pascale of Monson MA, Timothy Pascale of Palmer MA, Elizabeth (Pascale) Evon of Wales MA, and Catherine Jenkins of South Hadley MA, as well as extended family. Carol’s best friend and partner, Beverly Wiggin passed away in 2005. Carol also leaves many friends and colleagues. A special thank you is extended to the Nursing Staff at Wingate in Hampden for providing Carol with the care that she so richly earned and deserved.
 
A Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon  Street, Uxbridge, MA 01569 at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite Street, Uxbridge, MA.
