1931-2019

Monson-Jane R. (Daly) Jacobs, 88, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 surrounded by the love of family.  Jane was born in Easthampton, MA, October 19, 1931 to the late Peter and Florence (Premo) Daly.  She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Holyoke and continued her education at Providence Hospital in Holyoke where she became a Registered Nurse.  For many years she worked at the Sisters of Providence Hospital, later she worked  as a visiting nurse in Monson and then Monson Developmental Center in Monson. Jane has lived in Monson since 1976.  She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson, she was also a member of the Daughter's of Isabella.  Jane served on the Monson Board of Health and was a member of the Monson Democratic Town Committee, a member of the former Palmer Grange and a Red Cross volunteer.

Jane was predeceased by her husband Robert F. Jacobs Sr in 1993.  She leaves her son Robert F. Jacobs Jr  of Rowayton, CT and her daughter Karen A. Jacobs-Davis and her husband TJ of Monson; her grandson Robbie F. Jacobs III of Rowayton, CT; two brothers, Peter Daly of MA and Frank Daly and his wife Marilyn of FL.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home of Monson.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Nov 7,  2019 from 9-10:30 in the funeral home. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery all in Monson.
