Jerome R Carrigan

Monson-Jerome R. Carrigan, 85, passed away surrounded by the love of family, October 29, 2019.  Jerry was born in Pittsford, VT, June 25, 1934 to the late James and Jean (Davidson) Carrigan. Jerry served in the US Army from 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1955.  He has lived in Monson since 1955 where he raised his family.  Jerry retired as a mechanic for Local 98.  He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson.  Jerry loved to travel and fish on the Quabbin reservoir with his wife Joyce.  He also enjoyed gardening and working around his home. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends.

Jerry leaves his loving wife of more than 62 years, Joyce M. (Richard) Carrigan, and their children; Jerome R. Carrigan Jr and his wife Kris of Chicopee, Scott Carrigan and his wife Teresa of Wales, Denise Kokoszka and her husband Joseph of Three Rivers; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Jerome was predeceased by his daughter Doreen Heacock in 2013 as well as his four brothers and two sisters. 

Lombard Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4-6pm at the funeral home.  Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 10am in St. Patrick's Church, burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery all in Monson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund PO Box 335 or to St. Patrick's Restoration Fund PO Box 473 Monson, MA 01057.
