Lois J (Turnberg) Foisy

Monson- Lois J. (Turnberg) Foisy, 84, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, surrounded by the love of family.  Lois was born in Springfield, December 25, 1933 to the late Eric A. and Ethel M. (Parks) Turnberg.  Lois has been a resident of Monson since 1955.  She retired from Thorndike Mills in Palmer. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.  She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.  Her greatest joy came from being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lois was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert H. Foisy, Sr in May of 2017.  She leaves their children; Robert H. Foisy Jr and his wife Kathleen of Belchertown, Ronda Brown and her husband Russell of Palmer, Brenda Pelissier of Monson, Patricia Brennan and her husband Joseph of Plymouth; brothers John Turnberg and his wife Elaine, Richard Turnberg and his wife Gayle all of E. Longmeadow; sisters, Jane Mellis of E. Longmeadow, Shirley Vidito of Enfield, Barbara Sullivan and her husband James of Longmeadow, Gail Parrow of Stafford, CT, Noreen Bradway and her husband David of Monson; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great granddaughters. Lois was predeceased by her brother Albin Turnberg and sisters Madelaine Summerlin and Irene Laino.


Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11am in St. Patrick's Church in Monson.  Burial will be in the Spring.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4-7pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. in Monson.
