Marilyn B (Young) Maclean

BEDFORD, NH - Marilyn B. (Young) McGrath Maclean, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017 at CMC Hospital in Manchester, NH after a period of declining health.  She was born on October 11, 1935 to the late Sherwood and Dorothy (Mizen) Young.  A graduate of Monson High School and Lasell College, she lived much of her adult life in Florida and western Massachusetts, and moved to New Hampshire in 2013.  Besides her family, she loved music, painting, sculpting, jewelry making and especially loved writing, self publishing two books.  She leaves her children David McGrath (Bonnie) of Auburn, NH, Rob McGrath (Denise) of Columbia, CT, Laurie McGrath of Allenstown, NH and Bonnie Maclean (Ian) of Thailand;  her sister Becky Young, of Philadelphia, PA, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Matheson in 1988. 

A memorial service will be held in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org.
