Richard E LaFond

Monson-Richard E. LaFond, 75, died peacefully, September 7, 2017.  Richard was born June 24, 1942 to the late Eugene and Helen (Mason) LaFond and has been a lifelong resident of Monson.  Richard was a graduate of Monson Academy and received his doctorate from Princeton University. He was a founding member of the Monson Conservation Commission, a Corporator of Monson Savings and a long time member of the Board of Directors of the Monson Free Library. 

Richard leaves behind cousins and many close friends, including Gary and Gerry DePace of Monson. We would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Orchard Valley of Wilbraham for the loving care and kindness shown to Dr. Richard in the last few months.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Bethany Cemetery in Monson.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Richard's memory to the Monson Free Library, 2 High Street Monson, MA 01057.
