William F Nothe

Monson- William F. Nothe, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017.  Bill was born in Palmer, July 9, 1926, to the late Laurent and Hannah (Duncan) Nothe.  Bill has been a life long resident of Monson and served in the US Army during WWII.  In 1964 he became the owner of Bill's Sunoco and Service Station in Monson, later he purchased Phillips 66, also in Monson. Bill had a work ethic beyond measure and could be found at the service station everyday up until last week. He has now retired.

Bill was predeceased by his wife Theresa M. (Wilber) Nothe.  He leaves his sons, Francis W. Nothe and his wife Patricia, Peter L. Nothe and his wife Bonnie all of Monson; three grandchildren, Michael Nothe of Longmeadow, Kristin Nothe of Monson, Andrew Nothe of Monson and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his eight siblings; Earl, Melvin, Norman, Gilbert, Frederick, Walter, Everett and Margaret.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1-4pm in Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St. Monson.  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10am in the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery in Monson.

 In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund PO Box 335 Monson, MA 01057.
