Alfredo Joaquim

Monson, MA- Alfredo “Al” Joel Joaquim, 69, of Monson, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

 Born on August 16, 1957 in Ludlow, MA, Al was the son of the late Francisco and Maria (Matis) Joaquim. In August of 1987, Al married the love of his life, “Pat” Patricia (Piela) Joaquim. Together, they shared a special love for their “fur babies”; Benny, Brody, and Brandy. 

Al was employed for 30 years at Smith & Wesson as a Machinist. In his free time, Al enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, walking his dogs, and traveling- especially to Costa Rica, Bahamas, and the Carolinas. 

Al leaves behind his wife Patricia; his brother Joe Joaquim of Florida, his sister, Anna Sandoval of Arizona; his nephews, Damon, Nicholas, Manuel, Francisco, Eli, Samuel, Jeremiah Joaquim, and Michael Sandoval; and nieces, Holly Joaquim-Holden, Carinna Joaquim- Wagner, and Marianna Estrada. He was predeceased by his brothers Tony, Manuel, and Domingos Joaquim and Alfredo who passed as a toddler. 

Visitation will be held at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge Street, Monson, MA 01057 on Friday November 6, 2026 from 2:30pm-3:30pm. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 to conclude the afternoon.
