Monson- Alice Jean Jacobs, 76, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, surrounded by the love of family. Jean was born in Monson October 21, 1941 to the late Harold and Mary Gladys (Daley) Moriarty. She was a graduate of Monson High School and worked many years as a waitress. She also cooked at Woodbine in Brimfield and worked at Silverbrook Manufacturing in Palmer where she was loved and was treated like family. Jean loved people and was loved by most that met her. She enjoyed helping others, collecting recipes and cooking. She enjoyed Bingo with her friends and spending time with her family. Jean loved music and was a huge Elvis fan.
Jean leaves her husband of 56 years, Camillo M. Jacobs and their children; Steven Jacobs and his wife Marcia of West Hartford, Ct, Christopher Jacobs and his wife Linda of Palmer, Michael Jacobs and fiance Christine Comerford-Lloyd of Palmer, Brenda Gagne and her husband Joseph of Monson; grandchildren, Katie Jacobs, Jennifer Jacobs, Angela Hall and her husband Kevin, Sean Comerford, Samantha Lloyd, Amanda Lloyd, Brendan Lloyd, Nick Lloyd, Jason Gagne, Isiah Gagne, Diana Gagne, Shyla Gagne, Matthew Sousa, Amy Hersey and her husband Dan, Kristen Pelletier and her husband Ross; great grandchildren Austin Hersey, Vanessa and Charles Pelletier.
Siblings; Donald Moriarty and his wife Pamela of Brimfield, Robert Moriarty and wife Silvia, Sandy Moriarty, Mary-Jane Eaton, Diane Ouellet, and Elizabeth Evasius, all of Monson and many loved nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by a grandson Omar Gagne and a sister Patricia Robert.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4-7pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11am in St. Patrick's Church. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be private.
