Betty J Holmes

Monson- Betty J. Holmes, 56, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 2, 2023.  Betty was born June 22, 1967 in Palmer MA to the late Robert M. Holmes and Carol Young.  Betty was raised in Monson by her father and beloved grandmother, Nettie Holmes.  She was a graduate of Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School. For several years she was a manager at the Wilbraham gas station and spent her life dedicated to helping any and everyone she met.  Betty was an active member of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church.  She was the financial secretary, a trustee, a member of the choir, a church greeter and President of the United Methodist Women's Group. She enjoyed baking, playing bingo, sewing and crocheting.  Most of all she loved being with people and helping in any way she could.

Betty was predeceased by her father, grandmother and sisters, Karen and Millie Holmes. She leaves her niece Katlynn Holmes of Ware, her beloved church family and many friends.

Services have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home of Monson.  Visiting hours will be Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 5-7pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm to conclude the evening.  Burial will be held privately.
