Carol A (Vigneault) Plescia

Monson- Carol A. (Vigneault) Plescia, 73, died Thursday, January 28, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilbraham, MA on December 24, 1942, to the late Rene and Sophie (Swienton) Vigneault she has been a longtime resident of Monson. Carol was self employed as a barber/hairdresser, and operated Frank's Barber Shop, more recently known as Creative Styles, in Monson for over 40 years. Carol was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson and a past member of the Monson Garden Club. Carol enjoyed playing bingo, cards, puzzle making, and watching scary movies. Her greatest joy came from being a devoted wife, loving mother, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Carol leaves her husband of 54 years Eugene "Sonny" Plescia; their children, Lori Barbeau and her husband Tom, Gino Plescia and his partner Theresa Parsons, Tony Plescia and his wife Suzanne; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Olivia Barbeau, Anthony, Nicholas, Zachary and Gianna Plescia, Jessica and Hawken Plescia; seven brothers and sisters, Rene, Raymond, Kenneth, Dennis, Diane, Dana, and Debra Vigneault as well as many loving extended family members and friends.  Carol was predeceased by her brother Harold Vigneault.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 from 5-8pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 beginning at 9am in Lombard Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St Patrick's Church in Monson, burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery also in Monson.
