Wales- Charles R. Roy, 89, passed away June 17, 2019. Charles was born January 31, 1930 in East Longmeadow, MA to the late Frederick J. and Isabel B. (Falk) Roy. He was a high school graduate and served in the US Air Force. Charles was a computer operator and retired from Pratt & Whitney. He was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master Emeritus. For many years he was a coach for the East Springfield Athletic Association. Charles was also a member and life Deacon of Wales Baptist Church and he was an avid reader.
Charles leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Alma R. (Morse) Roy; two sons, Frederick A Roy and his wife Nancy of Springfield and Charles W. Roy and his wife Kerri of N.Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Edward Roy of Springfield; a sister, Carol McCray of Springfield; three grandchildren, Derek Roy, Emily Stockton and Barbara Roy and two great grandchildren; Julian, Adrian; nieces and nephews and his cat "Whiskers". Charles was predeceased by a brother Frederick Roy Jr and sisters Beatrice Kie and Leah Ramos.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 from 4-7pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 29th 2019 at 2pm in Wales Baptist Church Main St. Wales, MA. Committal Services with Military Honors will be held in September at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam
