David K Joyce

HAMPDEN- David Kenneth Joyce, 73, died on Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston after complications from surgery. He was born in Springfield, MA on June 25, 1947 the son of the late David W. and Marion (McClure) Joyce. He was educated locally graduating from Minnechaug Regional High School in 1965.

David retired from Dan Wesson Arms in Monson where he worked for many years as a machinist and tool maker. He loved the outdoors, especially boating on Big Alum and Little Alum Lake, splitting firewood or just being by the water in New England or at Cape Cod in Truro. He was a lifelong New England Patriots fan, loved animals and was always willing and able to fix just about anything for his family or friends

. David will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 41 years, Diane (Meacham) Joyce of Hampden; his three adored daughters, Alexis Joyce of Palmer; Danielle Connors and her husband Daniel of Revere, MA; Elizabeth Grimaldi and her husband Joseph of Enfield, CT; his grandson, Ryan Connors of Revere; his brother, Robert Joyce and his wife Kelly of W. Brookfield, MA. David leaves his “adopted” grandchildren and their mother, Amias Kowalik, Cassian Kowalik, Vivienne Kowalik and Marcellena Fernandes all of Monson. He also leaves his extended family and many friends.

Funeral services are private at this time.
