Dorothy E. "Betty" (Grammo) Mitchell

Monson- Dorothy E. "Betty" Mitchell, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019.  Betty was born in Monson, February 10, 1935 to the late Edmund and Marion Grammo.  She attended Monson High School and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Before her retirement Betty worked at Wm Wright Co, Zero Manufacturing and Johnson Mills. For many years she was a Cub Master for Cub Scout Pack troop #776.  She  delivered Meals on Wheels for the Monson Senior Center.  Betty also received the Monson Rotary Citizen of the Year Award.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Erwin G. "Mitch" Mitchell.  She leaves her son Robert Mitchell and his wife Susan of Brimfield; two grandchildren Brian Mitchell and Jennifer Mitchell; and a sister Marion Appleby of Monson.  She was predeceased by her brother Robert Grammo and sister Patricia Scheid.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 9, 2019.  Visiting hours will be held beginning at 9am in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St Monson with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Patrick's Church, 22 Green St Monson..  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson.
