Edward W. Roberts, Jr.
1947-2012
Monson- Edward W. Roberts, Jr, 65, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 after a period of declining health. Born in Southbridge, MA he has been a longtime Monson resident. Ed graduated from Springfield Trade High School and STCC. He worked at the former Jarvis & Jarvis Company in Palmer for over 20 years and retired from Rathbone Corp. in Palmer. Ed raised Appaloosa horses and was also a bee keeper.
Ed leaves his wife of 42 years Jane M. (Becker) Roberts; daughters, Mary Joan Cranstoun and her husband Bruce of Monson, Dawn Metcalf and her husband Richard of Ware, Audrey Blake-Otte and her husband David Otte of Warren; a son Roland Blake and his wife Beth of Zephyrhills, Florida; three sisters Gail Russell of Ware, Karen Morin of Warren and Jean O'Niel of South Carolina; four grandchildren Courtney, Emily, Sarah and Alexander; his Goddaughter Vicky McLeish; his Aunt Alice Piechota and many nieces and nephews.
