Elizabeth A Corish

Monson – Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Rivard) Corish, 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on July 12, 2026. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on June 21, 1932, Betty was the daughter of the late Victor and Margaret (Fahey) Rivard. She was a lifelong resident of Monson and was deeply devoted to her family, faith, and community.

Betty retired from the United States Postal Service in 1994 after 24 years of service. Prior to her postal career, she was employed by C.F. Church Company in Monson.

A faithful communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Betty will be remembered for her kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She enjoyed knitting and found great joy in sharing her handmade creations with those she loved. Betty especially treasured her role as "Nan," caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memories they shared with her will be cherished forever.

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, John R. Corish Jr. She leaves her sons, Michael P. Corish and his wife, Linda, and Richard J. Corish; her daughter, Suzanne M. Early; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters. In addition to her husband, Betty was predeceased by her parents and five siblings.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 22 Green Street, Monson. Please gather directly at the church. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty's memory may be made to the St. Patrick's Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 473, Monson, MA 01057.
