Springfield, MA - George Henry Patterson (A.K.A. Jamissohn ‘Jamo' Scott), passed away, Monday, January 9, 2017. George was born in Palmer June 6, 1948 to the late Harold and Dorothy (Brettenheimer) Patterson. He grew up in Monson and was a graduate of Monson High School. He then continued his education and was a graduate of Brevard College in North Carolina, where he studied music.
As *Jamissohn*, he was a musician for over 20 years, as frontman and singer for an 8-piece pop/rock cover band that toured all over the US, and then later he headed up his own intimate Trio, where he played guitar and sang in clubs. As *George*, he worked in the Washington D.C. area for over 10 years in various roles for Comcast, including Customer Service Manager, Regional Director of Pay-Per-View, and Marketing Manager.
George was one-of-a-kind:. Funny, kind, generous and quirky…he was always trying to make everyone around him smile (unless you were his waitress, in which case you were doomed!) He played music, sang, painted and had an incredible talent for 3D corporate animations. An immense animal lover, he owned a (very spoiled & outrageously overfed) dog during every single day of his adult life.
Oh, and George/Jamo was very, very handsome! [ his Final Will and Testament requires us to write this line contractually ] LOL
George leaves his partner, Sandro Frattura of Chelsea; cousins Janice Muldrew and her husband Barry, Robert Wood of Monson. He was fantastic “Uncle” to Jeremy O'Brien, Beverly Kennedy and Ben O'Brien.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11am in the First Church of Monson, Congregational 5 High St. Monson, MA. with a catered reception to follow in the adjoining fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to "Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New England” ( http://csrne.org/).
