Biography
Monson-Glenys E. (Moore) Scavotto, 78, of Park Ave., died Thursday, May 19, 2011. Born in Ware, MA to the late Wolcott R. and Lauretta L. (Bradley) Moore, she has been a longtime resident of Monson. For many years she worked at the former Springfield Molders in Monson. Glenys was a member of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church in Monson and spent much of her time with family and enjoyed being at home.
Glenys leaves two sons; Robert Scavotto and his longtime partner, Rafael Sanchez of Fife, Washington and Paul Scavotto of Bellingham, Washington; a brother Gordon Moore and his wife Shirley of Brimfield; a sister Darline Miceli and her husband Lawrence of Palmer and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Charles Moore in 1991.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 25, 2011. A visiting hour will begin at 11am with a service to follow at 12 noon in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St.Monson. Burial will follow and take place at Hillside Cemetery also in Monson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church Main St. Monson, MA 01057.
