Helen M. Hubert

1914-2008

Monson-Helen M. (Royce) Hubert, 94 a former resident of Palmer Rd., died Friday September 5, 2008 at Wingate at Wilbraham. Born in Palmer to the late Milton and Martha (Aldrich) Royce she was a graduate of Palmer High School and had lived in Monson since 1951. Helen was a machinist at Pratt & Whitney during WWII. She worked at Hillside School cafeteria in Monson and later retired from Sanderson Macleod “Better Brush“ in Palmer. She was a member of the First Church of Monson, the Palmer Grange and the Monson Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and watching her family grow. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband William R. Hubert in 1987. She leaves a son Richard L. Hubert and his wife Janet of Monson; a daughter Esther Haley and her husband Thomas of Monson and three grandchildren; Lisa Anderson of Belchertown, Wendy Fullam of Monson and Christine Hubert of Burlington, VT and a great grandson Benjamin Anderson. A funeral service will be held Tuesday September 9, 2008 at 1pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. with burial at Hillside Cemetery all in Monson. VISITING HOURS WILL BE Monday, September 8, 2008 from 5-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Senior Center Main St. Monson, MA 01057.
