Janice G Gouvin

Janice G. Gouvin 1946–2026 Janice G. Gouvin, of Monson, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born Janice Talmadge on August 23, 1946, in Ware, Massachusetts.

Janice was a devoted and caring woman who spent many years working at the Monson Developmental Center as kitchen staff and a direct care attendant. Her dedication to her work reflected her deep kindness, compassion, and commitment to helping others. Janice was an extremely sweet soul who touched the lives of many.

Though she had no sisters by birth, she was blessed with several women who loved her as one. Janice was an avid reader, a lover of animals, and found great comfort and strength in her faith.

Janice is survived by her loving family, including her sons, Kyle J. Gouvin and his wife Julie, and Jody R. Gouvin; her brother, John “Jack” Talmadge, and his wife Kim; her grandson, Jared H. Gouvin; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Presley, whom she loved and adored. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Bernice I. (Graham) Talmadge.

A small gathering for local friends and family to celebrate Janice’s life will be held on April 25th from 12:00–2:00 PM in the Community Room at Colonial Village in Monson.
