Monson- Katherine “Kitty” Ida Dearborn of Monson passed away at her son Chris’s home on September 14, 2026. Kitty was the youngest of 6 children, born in Springfield MA to the late Earl Connors and Lucy (Packard). She shared 32 years of marriage with her late husband, Harry E Dearborn.
Kitty graduated from X-ray technician school with her dear friend, Judy Russell, with whom she worked with for the next 25 years. She was a technician at the former Ludlow Hospital for 20 years and Pioneer Spine and Sports for 13 years.
Kitty loved the Wellfleet dunes on Cape Cod where she spent many summers at her family’s cottages.
Kitty had a passion for travel. She especially loved her trips to Ireland, London and Paris with her best friend Pat, and her trip to Hawaii with her son Chris. She enjoyed countless bus trips with The Monson Bellman.
Kitty was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Monson where she volunteered with the devoted Martha Mary ladies for funeral gatherings. She also worked at the Monson voting polls for several years in addition to participating in a committee that reviewed case files for the Department of Human Services.
Kitty Loved her family most of all. Cookouts, shopping trips and laughter topped her list of favorites. Her quick wit and humor always made her a welcome guest.
She is predeceased by her husband Harry E. Dearborn, brother Richard Connors, and sisters Barbara Ingraham, Margaret Rochford, Nancy Joseph, and Patricia Kirk. She leaves her son and primary caregivers Christopher and his partner Michele Presho, Natalya Pafumi, Son John and his wife Torrie, Daughter Lucy Dearborn and her husband Richard Femino, Grandson Connor Dearborn, Jaivin Rivera, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge Street Monson, MA on Monday, September 21st from 5-7pm. A funeral mass at will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd at 10:00am at St. Patrick’s Church, followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery, all in Monson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Fire Department, P.O. Box 335, Monson, MA 01057 or, St Patrick’s Church, 22 Green St, Monson, MA 01057.
