Monson-Kathleen T. (Murphy) Drake, 99, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012. Born in Ware, MA to the late Thomas Murphy and Mary (Carmody) Murphy Tobin, she has been a longtime Monson resident. Kathleen had a deep love of family and faith. She loved to discuss politics, enjoyed shopping and traveling. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson.
Mrs. Drake was pre deceased by her husband Clement B. Drake Jr. in 1998. She is survived by her daughters Joan Mento of Biddeford, Maine, Cathleen Mushenko and her husband Brian, Elizabeth Drake and Jessica Peterson all of Monson. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Kthleen was predeceased by her brother, John Tobin and sister, Mary Callahan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 8, 2012 beginning at 9:15 from Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monosn, with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday September 7, 2012 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
