Biography
Monson-Michael A. Raffaele, Jr, 74, died March 12, 2013. Born March 7, 1939 in Springfield, MA to the late Michael A and Theresa (Piccirilli) Raffaele. He worked most of his life as a lithographer (color stripper) for General Offset Printing in Springfield and McCormick & McNally in Connecticut. Michael resided with his sister Angela Kaiser in Monson before entering Wing Memorial Geri-Psyche and then Palmer Healthcare Center. The family would like to extend their gratitude and love to the caretakers in both facilities.
He leaves his sister Angela and brother in-law Kurt Kaiser of Monson; his niece Beth Nissenbaum; nephews Erik, Jason and Gabriel Kaiser and several great nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dog Nelson with whom he shared his life.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 11-1 at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St. Monson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Michael's Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas J.O'Connor Animal Adoption Center 627 Cottage St. Springfield, MA 01104 or any chosen charity.
