Wales- Norman L. Whitman, 46, died suddenly, April 12, 2014. Norman was born In Palmer, April 19, 1967 to the late Claude E. Whitman and W. Alexandra(Norma) (DeWitt) Pietrowski. Norman was a self-employed contractor, who could be found working on masonry projects, landscaping construction, auto mechanics and he was also an arborist. He was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying motorcross and coaching youth athletics. Many of his friends considered Norman to be "the voice of reason". He had a deep love of family especially his grandchildren. A favorite quote from Norm is "It's better to be quiet and appear dumb than to speak and remove all doubt..."


Norman leaves his loving wife Belinda L. (Fisher) Whitman; a son Mark Anthony Whitman and Alicia; a daughter Ashley Lynn Whitman and Dave, all of Wales; a brother Claude Whitman of Wales; sisters Shanoah Whitman of Wales and Elisha Raczkowski and Jay of Sturbridge; grandchildren, Savanna, Cameron Lee, Morgan and Declan; nieces and nephews, Alexia, Jack, Jessie Jr, Willem, Izzy, Kaileigh, Nathan and Scotty.



Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 9-11am at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A graveside service will follow at Wales #4 Cemetery on Laurel Hill Road in Wales. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o Elisha Raczkowski 28 Old Farm Road Sturbridge, MA 01566.
