Philip Jenkins
July 7, 1949 — March 11, 2011
Philip C. Jenkins passed away suddenly, Friday March 11, 2011. Born in Ogdensburg N.Y. in 1949 to the late Thomas C. and Mary (Ward) Jenkins. He was also the beloved step-son of the late Evelyn Jenkins. Phil was a graduate of Watertown High School, Watertown N.Y. and attended the State University of New York [SUNY].
As a Vietnam Era Veteran, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in both Guam and Okinawa and later served a number of years in the Army National Guard. Phil worked in Retail Lumber for over 40 years, most recently with The Home Depot in Wilbraham, MA. He served on the original Monson Town Scholarship Fund Committee and coached both Recreational and Suburban Girl's Basketball.
Phil leaves his wife of 38 years Dorothy (Pascale) Jenkins of Monson. He was a very loving Dad to his daughter Catherine M. Jenkins, her husband Ge Chen and new Grandson Quinten Thomas Chen all of Belchertown, MA., the joy of his life. His brother Thomas W. Jenkins preceded him in death in 1970. He also leaves his loving step-sister Ethel Labouf of Watertown N.Y. Close relative Carol A. Gaudette of Marlboro, MA., to whom he has provided excellent care and his many beloved nieces and nephews.
