Randy L Conant

Monson- Randy L Conant, 71, passed away on July 29, 2026 surrounded by family. Born on January 10, 1955, in Middlebury, Vermont, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Violet Leona (Fay) Conant. Randy was a long-time resident of Monson, with recent winters in Lake Wales, Florida.

Randy was the owner of C&R Transmissions, in Brimfield, MA, where he worked for 35 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, visiting several tracks throughout his life. He frequented local car shows, and had a love for local sports teams, the Patriots and the Celtics being a few of his favorites. He also enjoyed fishing, “RVing” and sitting by the fire. When visiting Lake Wales, he found joy in playing horseshoes and shuffleboard. Above all, his greatest hobby to him was being “Uncle Randy.”

Randy leaves his wife of 51 years, Linda A. (Mulloy) Conant; his son, Justin Conant and his wife Amy Wilson of East Boston; his brother, Albert Conant and his wife Patricia of Wells, VT; his sister, Patti Ann Apgar and her husband Jon, of Hobe Sound, FL; and several nieces and nephews who knew him as “Uncle Randy”.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Charles Conant and Ronald Conant, and his sister Shirley Cox.

Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St Monson, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm at the funeral home.
