West Brookfield-Sandra Lee Johnson, age 74, passed from earth to Heaven on October 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving caregivers at Quaboag Rehab and Nursing Home.
Sandy lived a very full life. She was a wonderful mom to Rhonda, Steve, Emily and Jason and a special gramma. She was a good sister to Dale and had a very special relationship with her Grampa Sidney. Sandy was a best friend to Elaine for over 45 years.
Sandy was a good Cristian woman who lived her faith. She was known for babysitting, bringing meals to the sick & shut-ins, helping people with laundry & housekeeping, never missing church and always being there for her children.
Among her many other jobs, Sandy worked as a pharmacy tech and a medical office manager which she loved. Sandy was a holiday home decorator extraordinaire!! She loved ALL holidays especially Christmas and St Patrick’s day. And was she ever a good cook!! She was famous for her delicious potato salad!!
Sandy had a huge love for animals and cherished her years with Max her cocker spaniel, Auggie her dachshund and her sweet cockatiel, Sydney.
During the years of her failing health, Sandy never felt sorry for herself and always tried to be a friend and show kindness, caring and a smile. She often had something funny to share with her dry sense of humor! Sandy loved history, was an avid reader and she loved listening to Celtic Thunder Music! And she always looked forward to her friend Judy’s visit and her yummy homemade cookies!
Sandy was an unforgettable person! May all who knew her try to be a little bit like her…and then the world will be a nicer place! Oh, and make sure you have your ticket to Heaven…so one day you can see her again!
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, November 2 @ 11 am at Wales Baptist Church, followed by a luncheon downstairs.
Memorial contributions, in Sandy’s honor, may be made to Wales Baptist Church, PO Box 256 Wales MA 01081.
