Brimfield-Todd J. (T.J.) Martinson, 40, passed away on July 3rd 2018. Todd was born in Lewiston, Idaho June 5th, 1978 to Edwin C. Martinson and Sharon K. (Uhlenkott) Szatkowski and was the youngest of 5 children. He was our little brother and brought joy to our lives with his playful nature and goofy antics and a heart that was always available trying to help please those he loved.
Todd graduated from Lewiston High School in 1996. He then served in the Army Reserves where he met Theresa McDonald. After the army Todd and Theresa moved to Monson where they made their home and welcomed three beautiful daughters. Todd worked for 15 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and most recently was a LPN at Wingate in Wilbraham. At Wingate he made it a mission to help residents go on vacation with one highlight being able to help a gentleman get back to Fenway Park one last time to see where he used to work. Todd enjoyed camping, reading and metal detecting with his brother and his dog and was an avid Redsox and Patriots fan.
Todd is survived by his three daughters, Maykayla, Julia and Amaya Martinson all of Monson; his father Edwin C. Martinson of Lewiston, Idaho; brothers, Christopher K. Martinson and his wife Keri of Monson, Jeffrey Martinson and his partner Kevin Tran of Seattle, WA, Scott Martinson and his wife Rebecca Martinson of Las Vegas, NV; sister Veronica Henry of Clarkston, WA, many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and friends. Todd was predeceased by his mother, Sharon Szatkowski and his step-mother Linda Martinson.
“I remember your hand in mine little brother
trying to protect you as you grew the laughs we shared along life’s path and even arguments too.
We watched you grow into a man your heart so full of pride as your lovely girls now held your hand and walked along your side.
My heart cries out this is too soon for you to leave us here but we know with mom and God’s great love that your spirit will be near”.
We will love you forever T.J.
