Palmer-William F. Whitten Jr. passed away on January 2, 2024. William was born in Palmer on April 15, 1944 to the late William and Rachel (Souliere) Whitten. He graduated from Tantasqua High School and later worked for the John Deere franchise at Lakeland Equipment Corporation in upstate New York for many years. Bill was an avid NASCAR fan. You could find him watching races, or working on his model trucks and cars.
William leaves his son, Richard Whitten and his wife Marsha of Springfield; brothers, James Whitten and wife Cheryl of Iowa; Peter Whitten and wife Lynn of Brimfield; Jeffrey Whitten of North Brookfield; sister, Beverly Raymond and her husband John of Palmer; grandson, Thomas Whitten and step-granddaughters, Desirae and Destiny.
