Obituary

Monson-Anita F. (Doyle) Schetzel, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at home. Anita was born in Northampton, November 8, 1940 to the late William F. and Anita R. (Tessier) Doyle. She was a graduate of St. Michael's in Northampton and a graduate of the College of Our Lady of the Elms. Anita taught elementary school for a period of time in Florence, MA before she began to raise her family in Monson. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson. Anita enjoyed visiting Boothbay Harbor in Maine and Cape Cod. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading newspapers and magazines.

Anita was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Schetzel. She leaves her daughter Julie Nothe and her husband John; Sons, William Schetzel and his wife Monique, Francis Schetzel and Bernard Schetzel and his wife Amy as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her sisters, Margot Doyle and Jacqueline Laperriere-Harnois.

All services are private and have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home of Monson.
