Carolyn N (Nichols) Osgood

Monson-Carolyn A. (Nichols) Osgood, 85, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, May 5, 2022.  Carolyn was born in Upper Darby, PA, February 10, 1937 to the late Conrad and Grace (Davenport) Nichols.  She was a 1955 graduate of Dover High School in Dover, DE.  She married her husband Geoffrey H. Osgood on June 9, 1956, eventually moving to Monson in 1965 where they raised their family.  Carolyn was an Executive Assistant at Mass Mutual in Springfield for many years retiring in1998.  Carolyn never met a stranger and she loved all creatures that somehow found their way to her.  She was a beautiful, kind, loving and generous soul. 

Carolyn leaves her husband of 65 years Geoffrey H. Osgood and their children; Geoffrey H. Osgood, Jr. of Prescott, AZ, David N. Osgood and his wife Loretta of Rockingham, VA, and Katie Punch and her husband Denis of Feeding Hills, MA; three grandchildren, Ashley Ketner, Carolyn Osgood and Anna Osgood; three great grandchildren, Christian Mason, Cheyenne Mason and Paige Ketner; three great-great grandchildren, Paisley Mason, Rylee Wise and Emma Wise all of VA; sister-in-law Shirley Nichols of DE, brother-in-law John Osgood of AZ, cousin Audrey Ruby of CA and many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.  Carolyn was predeceased by her brothers, Francis Nichols and Eugene Nichols.  

 Public visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 4-7pm in the funeral home. The family will hold a private funeral service.
