Claire E (Kominski) Picking

Brookfield- Claire E. (Kominski) Picking, 81, passed away February 6, 2022 surrounded by love of family.  Claire was born July 14, 1940 to the late Reuben J. Kominski and Beulah C. (Peck) Deodato. Claire retired from the Town of Monson after serving as the Council of Aging Director for 16 years.  After retirement she and her husband spent many years enjoying Florida.  First as "snow birds" then full time residents before returning to New England .  Claire was an active member of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church.  She was a member of the United Methodist Women. In her earlier years she worked as a teachers aid in the Monson School department and for a time she was a gun fitter at Dan Wesson Firearms.  

Claire is predeceased by her husband William F. Picking in 2020.  She leaves her sons, William F. Picking Jr and his wife Teresa of Virginia, Greig J Picking and his wife Susan of East Hampton, CT, and Mark T. Picking and his wife Sharon of Wales; a sister, June Church and her husband Charles of Summerfield, FL; eight grandchildren, Alysia, Angela, Makenzie, Jennifer, Olivia, Heather, Stephanie and Hailey and twelve great grandchildren.  Claire was predeceased by her brother Steven Kominski.

Funeral services will be private.
