Claire E. (Tourville) Talbot

Claire Ellen Talbot, 76, of Monson, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2023. She was born on February 23, 1947, in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Claire was a quiet, creative, and loving wife and mother who found joy in the simple things in life, from a warm cup of coffee to the comfort of a good book.

In her free time, Claire enjoyed reading, painting, puzzles, volunteering in the community, and traveling with her family. Some of her fondest memories were of the annual beach trip she took with Linda and Jerry Boesse and their family. She and Linda loved to shop, and they looked forward to the trip each year. Claire also loved animals and was a strong advocate for their well-being.

Claire was a wife and mother devoted to making her house a home for her friends and family. When her daughters were young, she cooked, baked, and made sure all their friends had a warm, inviting place to visit.

Claire will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including daughter Elise G. Powell and her husband Bryan D. Powell; daughter Gail S. Talbot-Olson and her husband, Thomas Talbot-Olson; brother Richard Tourville and his wife Eileen; brother James Tourville and his wife Bonnie; and step grandsons; Ian R. Powell, Alex V. Powell, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Thomas Louis Talbot, and parents Eleanor (Gendron) Tourville and Leonard Tourville.

Claire was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. May she be reunited with her loving husband, family, and friends in eternal life.

A viewing will be held at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson, Massachusetts on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral home service. A Celebration of Life will be held at Columbia Hall at 19 Green Street, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Claire's memory.
