Frank Skomro

Monson-Frank Skomro, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 surrounded by love of family in his home.  Frank was born December 3, 1932 in Monson to the late Louis and Sophie (Sziemba) Skomro.  He was a graduate of Monson High School and has been a life long resident here.  Frank was a machinist by trade and operated Sko-Val in Palmer for many years.  He enjoyed wood crafting and spent many years with his wife Dolores at craft shows. He also enjoyed flying model airplanes, hunting, fishing gardening and yardwork.  He was an avid Bruins fan and enjoyed watching Western Movies.  

Frank was predeceased by his loving wife of 69 years, Dolores E. (Kivior) Skomro in September 2022.  He leaves their children, Cheri Denner and her husband Thomas of Monson, Debbie Kindberg of Wales, three grandchildren, Mike and Chrissy Denner and Jeremy Kindberg and a great granddaughter, Kaydence Kindberg along with many nieces and nephews.  Frank was also predeceased by a granddaughter Melissa Kindberg as well as his brothers, Theodore, Chester, Stanley and Joseph and sisters, Rosalie Pixton and Stefhanie Hoena.

The family would like to thank the VA and Baystate Hospice for the care and compassion that was given to Frank and the family during this difficult time.
