Geoffrey H Osgood

Geoffrey H. Osgood, 89, of Monson passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, just nine short days after his loving wife of nearly 66 years, Carolyn (Nichols) Osgood, who passed away unexpectedly on May 5th. Geoff was born in Boston, MA on February 5,1933 to the late Ernest and Katherine (Arnold) Osgood. He was a 1951 graduate of Needham High School in Needham, MA, joining the Air Force upon his graduation and serving 4 years. During that time, Geoff was stationed in Dover, DE for a few months, where he spotted a beautiful girl at a diner one day who would eventually become his wife, Carolyn. He worked as a salesman in the drilling and construction business for many, many years.  Geoff was always one to tell a joke or a funny story, even writing a book of vignettes about his life, called Ozzy’s Anecdotes. He was a man with a big and loving heart, and a wonderful sense of humor.

Geoff leaves his loving children, Geoffrey H. Osgood, Jr. of Prescott, AZ, David N. Osgood and his wife Loretta of Rockingham, VA, and Katie Punch and her husband Denis of Feeding Hills, MA; his brother John Osgood of AZ; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Ketner, Carolyn Osgood, and Anna Osgood; 3 great grandchildren, Christian Mason, Cheyenne Mason, and Paige Ketner; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Paisley Mason, Rylee Wise, and Emma Wise all of VA, and many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.  Geoff was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Goodwin and brother Ernest Osgood.
