Irving T Arnold

Monson- Irving T. Arnold, 94, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Reserve in East Longmeadow. He has left us to a heavenly place. He was born May 29, 1928 to the late Andrew L and Adeline (Prophet) Arnold. Irving lived a long life and had much love for antiques, birds and driving around on his scooter.  He loved driving his 1920 Oldsmobile to car shows close by.  He was an Army Veteran.  Upon his honorable discharge he worked as a machinist for Yahn Engineering and owned Arnold's Hardware for many years.  Many will remember visiting the store and talking to him.  

He was married to the late Ruth (Maxwell) Arnold for 55 years.  He leaves a sister Adeline Herlihy and was predeceased by thirteen siblings. He was predeceased by his daughter, Diane Farquhar.  He leaves his son in-law, Clifford Farquhar, a daughter, Linda Meacham and her husband William; sons, Irving Arnold Jr and his wife Lisa, Kenneth Arnold and his wife Melissa, Paul Arnold.  His beloved grandchildren, Jeremy Farquhar, Benjamin Meacham, Alison Cadmus, Amy Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold, Irving Arnold III, Kyle Arnold, Melinda Arnold, Ryan Arnold,  Max Arnold, eight great grandchildren many extended family members and friends including, Nellie LeMay.

A service will be held in the Spring, May 26, 2023 at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 9am with Military Honors. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Audubon Society, a Veterans charity of your choice, St Jude's Children's Hospital or plant a tree.
