John M Arooth, Sr

Monson- John M. Arooth, Sr, 77, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021.  John was born in Springfield, April 10, 1944 to the late John S. and Catherine A. (Cole) Arooth.  He attended Monson Schools until he was old enough to begin his life long passion of being a dairy farmer.  In 1972, along with his brother James, they bought the family dairy farm and continued operating it until just a few months ago. John loved being with his family and enjoyed time with his friends.

John was predeceased by his wife Deborah L. (Nimmo) Arooth in 2019.  He leaves his son John M. Arooth Jr and his wife Erica of Westfield and a daughter, Jill M. Arooth of Monson; a brother James E. Arooth, Sr; grandchildren, Lisa Cavanaugh, Dylan Arooth and Caitlyn Arooth; nieces, Lisa Davis, Denise Gillman, Dena Plante, Kelly Davis, Amy Davis, Francine Cavanaugh and his nephew James Arooth, Jr.  John was predeceased by a nephew David Davis.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5-8pm at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26th beginning at 9am in the funeral home with procession to St. Patrick's Church in Monson for 10am Liturgy of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson.
