John J Martell

Tampa, Florida- John J. Martell, 51, passed away, Tuesday, February 1, 2022.  John was born in Springfield, MA January 23, 1971 to Kathleen (Herlihy) Milde Martell. In 1983 John became William R. Martell's legal son.   John attended Monson Schools before moving to Pelham and graduating from Amherst Regional High School.  He continued his education and was a graduate of Bryant College in Rhode Island.  He was a network engineer in internet communications for Frontier Communications in Florida.  John was an avid golfer.  He was a golf pro at Maplegate Country Club and East Coast Golf while he lived in Massachusetts  and Green Meadow in New Hampshire. While he was living in Massachusetts he had the opportunity to play in the Massachusetts Open.

John leaves his son John "Jack" Martell and daughter Reese Martell of Tampa, Fl; his Mother, Kathleen (Herlihy) Martell of Pelham; his twin brother, Jan Martell and his wife Tammi of Ohio; a sister, Melanie Kent and her husband Dana of Ware and nephews, Evan and Cole Martell and Matthew Kent along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. John was followed in death by his father William R. Martell, March 7, 2022.  

Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 with visitation from 12-3 pm and a Memorial service in remembrance of both John and William will be held at 3pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, MA 01057.
