Laurie B (Kulig) Milne

Monson- Laurie B. (Kulig) Milne, 68, of Monson, was called safely home on Monday, July 25, 2022.  She passed into eternal life at Baystate Hospital after a five year battle with cancer, surrounded by the comfort of her family.  She had "Rebellious Hope" to the end. Born in Chicopee she grew up in Ludlow and was a graduate of Ludlow High School and Bay Path College. She worked at the Republican in the accounting department for many years and also as church administrator at Wilbraham United Church.  Dragonflies were Laurie's spirit animals. Her faithful companions Jada and Hemmi were always by her side comforting her. She loved gardening, the thrill of finding interesting antiques, and working along side her husband on many projects.  Laurie's best times were spent at the cabin at the lake in Sturbridge with family and playing Lego's with her grandson.  

Laurie was a devoted wife, mother, nanny, sister and daughter in-law.  She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Bess Kulig; her brothers, Frank Peter and Stephen; mother in-law Dolores Milne.  To mourn her passing she leaves her husband and soul mate of 47 years John; son, Andrew John Milne; daughter, Alyssa Jane Milne and her fiancé, Dave Flynn; father in-law George Milne and the light of her life, grandson Josiah Milne.  She also leaves her siblings Mark Kulig (Mary), Matthew Kulig (Cheryl), and Jane Martins (Mark); sisters in-law, Catherine and Miglena, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 

 Visiting hours will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 from 5-7pm with a service at 7pm to conclude the evening.  Burial will be private.
