Lorraine E (Royce) Kelly

Monson/Ware- Lorraine E. (Royce) Kelly, 90, passed away peacefully February 2, 2023 in her home.  Lorraine was born in Monson November 20, 1932 to the late Burt T. and Verna L. (Bradway) Royce.  She was a graduate of Springfield Trade School.  For several years she worked at Friendly's Ice Cream in Wilbraham in the production department, and was a courier for the Springfield Republican, delivering the newspaper to her neighbors.  Lorraine was active with 4-H, during her youth.  She enjoyed watching birds and was a participant annually with the Audubon bird count.  For many years she was a volunteer at the Monson Senior Center.  Lorraine was an avid Red Sox fan, she never missed a game!  

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband George E. Kelly.  She leaves her daughter, Alice L. Davey and husband Mark of Monson; a son, William C. Kelly of Monson; granddaughters, Mariel Ford and her husband Thomas of East Boston and Amanda Furtado and her husband Cory of Swansea, MA; a great granddaughter Amelia Ford and a second great grandchild soon to be.  Lorraine leaves her brother Phillip Royce of Monson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at Cedarbrook Village.  Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers Raymond Royce, Earl Royce and Gordon Royce.  

Visiting hours will be held at Lombard Funeral Home Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 5-7pm. A concluding prayer will be held 7pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Monson Senior Center 106 Main St. Monson, MA 01057.
