Mary Lou Woolley Obituary

Ludlow – Mary Lou Woolley, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. She was a longtime resident of Monson and spent several years in Seminole, FL near her sisters. She was born on April 14, 1948, daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Potter) Labarge and was educated locally. Mary Lou was a longtime caring mental health worker for the State of Massachusetts and worked for many years at Belchertown State School and Monson Developmental Center.

In 2007 Mary Lou was predeceased by her beloved son, Shawn McIntyre. She was also predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Woolley. She was a longtime member of First Church of Monson Congregational, the Hearts Willing Club, and numerous button clubs including the National Button Society.  Mary Lou enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark movies and Dr. Phil. She especially loved spending time with her family and known for her humor.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laurie Williams and her husband Ozzie of Springfield; Grace McIntyre and her significant William Davis of Monson; her two sisters, Carol Lemieux of Seminole, FL and Rose Letourneau of Palm Coast, FL. She will be dearly missed by her six grandchildren: Kristy, Kiyanna, Kaylee-Anna, Kareena, Shannon and Amanda as well as her adored 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to remember her spirited ways.

The funeral services will be private and the burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Monson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Lou’s name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew St., Spfld, MA 01104.
