Mildred "Millie" D (Wheeler) Douville

East Longmeadow- Mildred D. (Wheeler) Douville, 82, of East Longmeadow passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Millie was born November 3, 1940 in New Salem to the late Robert E. Wheeler and Mary A. (Marco) Wheeler. She was a bookkeeper for over 20 years at Universal Plastics Corporation in Holyoke. She attended St. Michaels Church in East Longmeadow.  Millie was an avid reader and was a world traveler enjoying cruises and visiting distant places such as Egypt,  Africa and Europe.    

Millie Leaves her husband of 60 years, Robert H. Douville and their daughter Michelle A Sherman and her husband Mark of Monson; a granddaughter, Meghan Walsh and her husband Matthew and a great granddaughter, Rylee Sherman as well as four nephews and five nieces.  Millie was predeceased by her grandson, Eric Sherman and her siblings; Robert Wheeler, Rosemary Cooper and Sharon Lachtara.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson.  Visiting hours will be held from 9am until 10:30am followed by a procession to St. Patrick's Church in Monson for an11am Funeral Mass.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Tinkham Road in Springfield.
